Chemical peeling is a skin-resurfacing procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to peel away the top layers. The skin that is brought forward after a chemical peel is smoother, brighter, clearer, and more youthful in appearance. Chemical peels can be done at different depths – light, medium or deep – And can use different peeling agents and ingredients depending on the condition of your skin and concern. Who are peel facials best suited to?
There are many different peels that we have available at Beauty on Rose and we will customise these to your individual needs. We have peels for aged, thicken skins, acne prone, pigmented skin even sensitive skins to build hydration. Talk with your skin therapist to find out what peel would best be suited to you. Â
How often should I get a peel facial?
We often love to do peels in short stints close together to really target a concern. However we can also combine peels with other layers and preform them occasionally or place them in between other treatments to really target your individual concern.
Will there be down time?
This depends on the peel that is chosen for you. We have some that will have no downtime to light shedding (peeling & flaking) to advanced multiple layered peels that can have heavy/moderate shedding (peeling & flaking).  How long this last depends on lifestyle & skin type. However, we never want to be aggressive with your skin. So will slowly build up to these more advanced treatments with other treatments and products meaning your skin can tolerate more without the freakout. Talk with your skin therapist to find out the best solution for your individual needs & don’t be afraid to let us know when you have an event you need to look your best for.
Will it hurt?
Nope, most of our peels either feel like nothing or light, tingly ants marching on your skin. Some of our stronger peels will feel more tingly & bitie, but never burning. We believe in maintaining skin integrity. Exfoliating the skin in a really safe way.
