What is cosmetic tattooing? ExpandAlso known as permanent makeup or micropigmentation, the procedure involves the implantation of colour pigments into the area just directly beneath the skins surface to achieve natural looking enhancements to a client’s facial features such as eyebrows, lips and eyelids through the use of extremely fine, sterile and single use disposable needles.
How long is an eyebrow tattoo session? Expand An eyebrow tattoo treatment takes approximately 2 hours from start to finish. Each eyebrow tattoo treatment consistsof 2 steps, the initial treatment session and a second called the perfection session, where we further perfect your new eyebrows at 4-6 weeks later. By Australian Laws, clients must be 18+ years of age to be able to receive any cosmetic tattoo treatment.
Can I get cosmetic tattoo when pregnant? ExpandWe do not offer cosmetic tattoo procedures to pregnant and breastfeeding clients, however we look forward to treating you once your bundle of joy has arrived!
Who should not consider cosmetic tattoo? ExpandNot everyone is a suitable candidate for any cosmetic tattoo procedure, we do not recommend cosmetic tattoo treatment for clients with the following conditions, as your health and safety are most important to us. Clients who are diabetic, prone to Keloid Scarring, taking certain medication such as Roacutane and certain blood thinners.
How long will the cosmetic tattoo last? ExpandEyebrow tattoo can last up two years (and more in some cases), fading gradually to a lighter colour. The longevity of the eyebrow tattoo depends on many factors, such as the client’s skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, medication, skincare products and even hormones. As every client’s skin is unique, we can not guarantee the same result for every client. By following aftercare, you can enjoy a better healed result for longer.
What should I do after a cosmetic tattoo procedure? ExpandEnjoy them! Show them off. Take plenty of selfies and tag us! The complete healing process for cosmetic tattoo produces takes between 4-6 weeks, this is when your new – be it eyebrow tattoo, eyeliner tattoo, lip tattoo would have “settled” in both shape and colour. Our aftercare guide must be followed to achieve best results. Not following the aftercare guide will result in poor retention and may require additional touch ups, and additional fees applied.
Are the tools you used safe for me? ExpandExtremely, as we only use single-use, disposable needles, other material and consumables. Our work station is thoroughly disinfected before and after each procedure, and all disposable tools and materials discarded responsibly in accordance with strict Australian Health standards and legislation. We are a licensed premise, permissible to provide skin penetration services by local councils and Governing bodies.
What will my eyebrow tattoo look like? ExpandRight after a procedure, your new eyebrow tattoo will look darker and more prominent than the final healed result. The darker colour and thicker shape will settle within a few of days as the pigment lightens, and swelling (mild if any) goes down through the healing process. Some clients may experience slight redness temporarily, and may feel slightly tender, while others won’t. Panadol is usually enough to calm any discomfort.
Pre-Appointment Details
Two weeks prior to your appointment stop using any skin thinners (Vitamin A, glycolic acids) on the brow area
Any waxing or brow shaping should be done at least 2 days before
If you tint your brows, tint it at least one week prior to the procedure
Cosmetic botox or fillers should be done 3 weeks prior or 2 weeks after
DO NOT consume alcohol, caffeine or take any blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, Niacin 48 hours before your procedure (GP approval if required), this will cause excess bleeding and will affect your results and colour retention)
You may come in with how you normally fill in your brows, however please feel free to bring examples of brow shapes you like to the appointment and we will work with you to create a look that works on you and your skin type
You may experience hypersensitivity and more pain around or during your menstrual cycle We will not be able to tattoo over any blemishes, sores, and moles in or around the brow
Stop taking Fish Oil 7 days before your appointment and blood thinners (with GP approval)
Ensure you have pre ordered your prescription topical anaesthetic via the link sent to you at least 1 week prior to your appointment Please request to send it directly to Beauty on Rose to ensure it is correctly stored and ready for your procedure
