What started as a local beauty salon has grown and evolved over more than three decades into one of Melbourne’s most established destinations for skin, beauty and spa. Treatments and technology have changed enormously — and we’ve changed with them. The trust our clients place in us has remained remarkably consistent.
From Rose Street to today.
In 1995, Beauty On Rose opened its very first doors at 3 Rose Street, Essendon.
It wasn’t glamorous. It wasn’t huge. But it was magic.
We grew quickly — from number 3 to 1, 3 and 5 Rose Street — and eventually purchased the whole building. Those early years were shaped by loyal clients and the wonderful old-school Essendon community around us, including Urens Butchers, Landgrens Shoes, Brumby’s, Wild Rose Florist, Wings Away Travel and Graeme Wood Optometrist.
At around 440 square metres, Rose Street felt like our forever home. Then the Level Crossing Project arrived, and the next chapter began.
In 2017, Beauty On Rose moved to 30 Keilor Road, Essendon North — a new approximately 1,200 square metre home with 60 treatment areas, created to bring skin, beauty and spa together under one roof.
Beauty On Rose looks very different today from the salon that first opened in 1995. But Rose Street was the first home — and it will always be part of the heart of Beauty On Rose.
First brow appointments. Teenage skin. Weddings. Pregnancy. Menopause. And everything in between.
For more than 30 years, we’ve had the privilege of looking after our clients through so many stages of their lives. Some first came through our doors as teenagers. We’ve prepared them for formals and weddings, looked after their skin through pregnancy and hormonal change, and continued to care for them as their skin and beauty needs changed over the years. Today, some of those same women walk through our doors with daughters of their own. That’s what more than 30 years really means to us. It’s not simply the number of years we’ve been open. It’s the generations of people who have chosen to come back.
