Our training Program has been designed and perfected over the past twenty six years the industry has changed and so has clients needs, we must be able to Pivot and be flexible in continuing to be a industry Leader.Â
The Beauty On Rose training Academy is equipped with the best equipment in the industry , Candella, Cutera Light Stim , Hydro Co , Hydrafacial , Dermapen , Exceed .Â
Our training modules allow you to push ahead at your own pace , we deliver our programs in a number of ways : face to face learning , online learning on our Beauty On Rose education platform and also in our purpose built training room which is located at our Essendon Salon. The program allows you to Earn while you learn and has you on clients within a 2-4 week time period depending on your availability.Â
Once a module is completed , you will then be tested by our assessor and then will be opened up in the salon to then start performing those treatments on clients .Â
 Once you have completed a module We’ll provide you with access to an engaging and supportive team environment, game-changing leaders, and extensive training and mentorships to support your continual growth in the salon .Â
By the time your journey as a Graduate is coming to an end, you’ll be primed to stay on, continue to grow and drive change and progress to a Senior Therapist Position .

Beauty on rose is such a comfortable and positive environment to work everyone gets along well and supports one another. The structure is like no other salon I have worked at and I am so happy I have found such an amazing place to work. In 2010, after 10 years working in the Beauty Industry, I felt stuck. I didn’t learn anything new and my career just didn’t go anywhere. One day, on SEEK I saw a job advertisement for the role of Advanced Therapist posted by BOR. I applied, got an interview with Catherine and got the job.
BOR was like a family, Catherine and Sarah look after their staff really well. I remember During the busy period leading to Christmas, BOR would provide catering service for rostered staff to ensure we were well fed after running around treating clients.
There are so many positive memories that if I write every single one of them it would probably be too long to read đŸ™‚ hence I have summarised points below:
1. Skills development: the training I received from BOR is second to none. Catherine would invite experts to train us in the latest technology, machineries, treatment technique and skin care. These are the skills you can carry with you wherever you go and will highly benefit your resume. Besides technical skills, I have also learnt soft skills such as communication, customer service and dealing with difficult people skills during my time in BOR. I am no longer working in the beauty industry, but these soft skills I learnt during my time at BOR have helped me in many ways in my corporate life.
2. Rewards: BOR pays above industry average and there are many perks and bonuses as well. You just have to perform well.
3. Work Culture: I could not find a place with a better work culture in the beauty industry than BOR. I have worked in Brunei, Singapore and Australia. Before BOR, I have worked in a few other salons in Melbourne. During my 17 years career in Beauty in Industry, I spent 7 years in BOR and for someone who switched jobs every year that says a lot about BOR. Not only that you are treated as family but Catherine and Sarah do not tolerate negativity, this is important. If you are spending 10 hours a day in a workplace, you want only positive energy around you. During my last few years in the beauty industry, it seriously did not feel like a “job”, it felt more like I went there to do something I love, meeting colleagues I love chatting with and treating clients that had become friends.
4. Excellent leader: the person you report to is very important, you won’t be able to do a good job if you don’t like/respect the person you are reporting to. In my memory, Catherine is an equitable, kind, compassionate and generous boss. I have always been grateful for the good leadership and positive experience during my time at BOR.
5. Leader in the industry: There is a sense of pride working for BOR. BOR takes their treatment seriously, they only use the best quality skincare and employ highly skilled therapists. If you are or have worked at BOR you know you are one of the best.
6. Parties: BOR loves to party. From cruise parties, Hot Springs, Wineries, you name it đŸ™‚
BOR will always be on the top of my most recommended places to work and get your treatment done.

I applied at Beauty on Rose for a new challenge after having spent many years working in a city Day Spa in treatments and management. I was bored at my old job and had always heard fantastic things about BOR.

I am SO glad I made the move. At BOR I was learning new things everyday with new products/ treatments and equipment coming in as the industry evolved BOR kept up with any new Spa/beauty trend.

I only left on maternity leave but was honestly waddling around for as long as I could reluctant to go. I started in the beauty industry back in 1999. I had nearly completed my diploma in Beauty Therapy at Victoria University when I saw an add for student beauty therapist for Beauty On Rose on the school notice board which was then located on Rose st Essendon at the time.
I thought I would try and apply even though I had no experience.
Well wasn’t that the best decision I made and what a place to start my career .
Catherine gave me a chance and I was so happy .
I learned so so much not only all the different services but so many products .
The training was second to none.

I moved to Australia in 2016 from Ireland. When I started searching for work in the beauty industry I didn’t know where to begin as I was not familiar with my surroundings. Thankfully unlike many international workers in Australia my Brother in Law was Australian. When I asked him & his friends of beauty premises they knew,Beauty on Rose was the only place they could recommend- as that is where anyone they knew went and where their friends,mothers and siblings had gone to over the years. its reputation spoke volumes and I would soon find out why.
I searched for Beauty On Rose online and they were looking for a receptionist. Although I was a qualified therapist I had predominantly worked front of house so this suited me perfectly. I applied straight away.
From the moment I met Catherine in my interview we clicked. Catherine took a chance on me and offered me the position there and then. An opportunity I will always thank my lucky stars for.
Catherine & Sarah are two of the best in the industry, as bosses they were firm but fair and were constantly motivating me & guiding me to also excel in my role. We were constantly training & upskilling- the knowledge I gained from them was invaluable as both a therapist & a manager.
Catherine, Sarah & all the girls welcomed me to the team with open arms and although I was very far from home I was always so well looked after by my BOR Family.
